PVC resin with general performance is a white or yellow powder with relative density of 1.35~1.45. The softness and hardness of PVC board can be adjusted by adding PVC transparent board plasticizer. Pure PVC has very low water absorption and permeability.
PVC has high hardness and mechanical properties, which increase with the increase of molecular weight and decrease with the increase of temperature. Rigid PVC has good mechanical properties, with an elastic modulus of 1500~3000 MPa, soft PVC with an elasticity of 1.5~15 MPa, and an elongation at break of 200% ≤ 450%. Its friction performance is general, with a static friction coefficient of 0.4~0.5 and a dynamic friction coefficient of about 0.23.
Thermal performance of PVC board: PVC has poor thermal stability, starts to decompose at 140 ℃, the melting temperature is 160 ℃, the linear expansion coefficient is small and fire-resistant, and the oxidation index is as high as 45.
Electrical properties of PVC board: PVC is a polymer with good electrical properties, but its edge properties are not as good as PP and PE due to its large properties. The dielectric constant, dielectric loss tangent and volume resistance are large, and the corona resistance is poor. It is generally suitable for medium, low voltage and low frequency edge materials.
That's all for the PVC board. The environmental protection performance of PVC can withstand most inorganic acids, alkalis, salts and most organic solvents. It is suitable for pharmaceutical and chemical anti-corrosion materials.
