Performance of PVC board:
1. general performance PVC resin is a white or light yellow powder with a relative density of 1.35-1.45. The hardness of the product can be adjusted by adding plasticizer of PVC transparent board. Pure PVC has low water absorption and air permeability.
2. mechanical properties PVC board has high hardness and mechanical properties. It increases with the increase of molecular weight, but decreases with the increase of temperature. UPVC has good mechanical properties, and its elastic modulus can reach 1500-3000 MPa. The elasticity of soft PVC is 1.5-15 MPa But the elongation at break is as high as 200%-450%. PVC has average friction, static friction coefficient is 0.4-0.5, and dynamic friction coefficient is 0.23.
3. thermal performance PVC has poor heat resistance. The decomposition starts at 140 ℃ and the melting temperature is 160 ℃. PVC has low linear expansion coefficient, flame retardant and oxidation index above 45.
4. electrical properties PVC is a polymer with good electrical properties, but its electrical insulation performance is not as good as polypropylene and polyethylene due to its large s property. Dielectric constant, tangent of dielectric loss angle, large volume resistivity, poor corona resistance, generally suitable for medium and low voltage low-frequency insulating materials.
5. environmental protection performance PVC board can resist most inorganic acids, alkalis, salts and most organic solvents. It is suitable for anticorrosive materials in pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
